Spectra is the plural form of Spectrum which is defined by: A band of colours, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction according to wavelength.
The idea behind Spectra
The goal of this branding is to visually communicate the scope of their services. Like how a prism separates light from the same source, Spectra turns a single source of truth into many localized styles for any given language they seek to translate.
Building the right business card
Business cards are often the lingering presence of a first impression, and they can set the tone for how someone approaches a business. Each card displays a quote that symbolizes the company's philosophy and beliefs. This way, Spectra shows that it is serious about the localization it provides, but is also playful and fun.
On the way to the final product
Much like its name implies, Spectra needed something bright and colourful in comparison to the typical corporate look. The first concept does this by applying a typographic treatment of the visible spectrum, while the second logo focuses directly on the how communication can mix together, much like colours.
